Job Overview
We are currently looking for Family Physicians to join our healthcare team who will be a hardworking, dedicated, and compassionate team player. The aim is to create a multidisciplinary team with many healthcare professionals working together in a close knit medical clinic. The ideal candidate will be meticulous with strong communication and organisation skills committed to providing excellent patient care. Please note this is for a new clinic that will operating from two sites within minutes drive of each other. The salary is based on the amount of patients seen whether full time or part time, and succumb to a split 80% to the patient and 20% towards clinic overheads.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical history taking and clinical examination
  • Order and interpret medical investigations to screen for, diagnose, or prevent the development of medical conditions
  • Select the appropriate treatments including conservative management such as lifestyle interventions, medication, or surgery
  • Patient education and health promotion
  • Refer appropriately to other specialist physicians as required
  • Ideally be open to teaching and training students and residents
  • Use an EMR (Electronic Medical Record) to keep well structured clinical records for the patients
  • Work within the code of practice outlined by CPSA
  • Have professional liability with CMPA
  • Meet the CPSA requirements to work in the province of Alberta
