Full job description

We are seeking a reliable Assistant Service Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will assist with the delivery, setup, maintenance, and retrieval of home health care equipment for clients in residential and health care settings. This position offers hands-on training and an opportunity to build technical skills while helping improve the quality of life of clients in the community. We service the entire West Coast from Port aux Basque to the Great Northern Peninsula!

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and install home health care equipment, including hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, lift chairs, patient lifts, scooters, and other mobility or medical devices.
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and minor repairs on equipment.
  • Pick up equipment from client homes.
  • Load, unload, and transport equipment safely using company vehicles.
  • Maintain a professional and compassionate approach when interacting with clients and health care professionals.
  • Follow all safety, infection control, and company procedures.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 75 lbs).
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience with medical equipment, delivery services, or technical service work is considered an asset.
  • Ability to work independently and with part of a team.
