Position Overview

The position of Territory Manager - Saskatchewan, Manitoba & NW Ontario is an integral role presenting and marketing multiple product lines for Acute Care, Private Surgery and Long-Term Care.

With a large geographical area to cover, travel is estimated at approximately 30%, including occasional overnight stays.

Essential Job Functions:

  • To provide territory sales and support for assigned territory.
  • Continually develop in product knowledge and engage in both self initiated and management organized, training sessions.
  • Actively promote the benefits of, and support, multiple product categories.
  • Responsible for call points in Acute Centers, Private Surgery Clinics and Long-Term Care Facilities throughout the territory.
  • To develop and continually build strong relationships and loyalty amongst current and new customer base.
  • Responsible for the education of customers at all required levels in the proper use and application of our products.
  • Facilitate in servicing, product presentations, consultative sessions with customers, new business prospecting, product reviews and installations.
  • Uncrate and product assembly.
  • Organize and facilitate product evaluations in all Departments and Clinics including the Operating Room.
  • Assist in preparation and attend, conferences, trade shows, webinars, training sessions and sales meetings, potentially outside of home Province.
  • Collaborate with, and update, National Sales Manager on Territory activities, progress, and achievement of goals, including weekly sales reports.
  • Other duties as assigned by President and National Sales Manager.

Other Job Functions:

· Attend the weekly cross country sales meeting

· Provide weekly field reports of sales activities to the National Sales Manager

Skills/Abilities:

  • Undergraduate Studies with preference to a Secondary Education in a related discipline.
  • Previous sales experience of 3-5 years in a related industry.
  • Possess a driven attitude and engaged to accomplish quick results.
  • Comfortable and effective with cold calling in multiple settings: phone, video conferencing, and on-site visits
  • Eager to succeed and assist in driving revenue opportunities throughout the territory.
  • Collaborative, “Team Player”.
  • Exceptional oral, written, and presentation skills; comfortable in front of an audience or camera for presentation purposes or on-line meetings.
  • Familiarity and proven adaptability with virtual platforms, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Comfortable travelling to Sites and Facilities as well as working remotely in home office; facilitating presentations and sales calls by video platform.
  • Established competence at speaking or presenting.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and exhibit time management skills.
  • Basic mechanical skills an asset for product assembly and installations.
