Strategic Sourcing Specialist (Global Sourcing)
Richmond Hill, ON

Amico Patient Care is seeking a Strategic Sourcing Specialist to support our growing supply chain operations. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who excels at building supplier relationships, optimizing sourcing strategies, and ensuring a reliable, cost-effective supply chain.

What You’ll Do
  • Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives in collaboration with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams
  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard global suppliers based on capability, quality, cost competitiveness, and reliability
  • Lead supplier negotiations with confidence, consistently securing optimal pricing, terms, and long-term value
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while holding partners accountable to performance expectations
  • Assess supplier manufacturing capabilities, including equipment, processes, and technical expertise, to ensure alignment with requirements
  • Mitigate supply chain risks by developing alternate and diversified sourcing strategies
  • Manage sourcing projects end-to-end, driving progress across internal stakeholders through to successful completion
  • Analyze purchasing data and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies
  • Track, report, and present on cost-saving initiatives and sourcing performance on a regular basis
  • Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and internal processes
What You Bring
  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, or purchasing
  • Proven track record of strong negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently push back and secure best-in-class pricing and terms
  • Solid experience with global sourcing and supplier development
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and supplier capability assessment
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, technical requirements, and market conditions
  • Experience managing sourcing initiatives from concept through execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an asset
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings is an asset
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Multilingual capabilities are a strong asset
Nice to Have
  • Experience in manufacturing or medical equipment environments
  • Exposure to supplier diversification and risk mitigation strategies
  • Professional certifications such as SCMP or CPP
Salary Range: $65,000 – $80,000
