Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Quality Engineer and become a vital driver of excellence in manufacturing processes! In this role, you will champion quality assurance initiatives, implement rigorous quality control measures, and ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Duties

  • Support APQP and new product launches, including PFMEA, Control Plans, work instructions, and other quality documentation.
  • Support PPAP activities, including preparation, submission, review, and customer approval.
  • Perform MSA, Gage R&R, and process/product capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk).
  • Develop inspection and testing requirements, coordinate testing, and evaluate results.
  • Act as a primary quality contact for customers, investigate quality concerns, and provide timely 8D responses, corrective actions, and follow-up to closure.
  • Investigate internal and supplier quality issues using structured problem-solving methods and manage corrective actions.
  • Manage internal nonconformances, including containment, corrective actions, and verification of effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Production, Engineering, and suppliers to ensure quality requirements and process controls are properly implemented and maintained.
  • Support continuous improvement, process quality, and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Support the Quality Management System in accordance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements, including internal and external audits.
  • Provide Quality Assurance and inspection support and perform other quality-related duties as required.

Experience

  • Experience in a Quality Engineering role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, and SPC.
  • Experience with 8D, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer quality requirements.
  • Experience working directly with customers and suppliers on quality issues.
  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 and automotive customer-specific requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and product/process specifications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with quality management systems and statistical software is an asset.
