Full job description

We are seeking for clinic staff who will be in a hybrid role of a Medical Device Reprocessor and a Coordinator. This means when reprocessing is not needed, it is expected that this team member is to do Coordinator’s tasks and responsibilities.

Responsibilities as MDR

  • Reprocess instruments with an autoclave machine
  • Prepare trays specific to the doctor’s request
  • Responsible for the decontamination, reprocessing, and distribution of a variety of sterile and non-sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Performs daily, weekly, and monthly machine and scope maintenance.
  • Complete other duties as needed for compliance.

Responsibilities as Coordinator

  • Manage patient calls and inquiries about appointments, confirmations, and cancellations.
  • Book and rebook appointments as needed.
  • Completes documentation as required and appropriate.
  • Ensure consult/exam rooms are always clean, sanitized, and fully stocked.
  • Facilitate payment collection for uninsured services as needed.
  • Notify Supervisor or Clinic Manager for any changes on the doctor’s scheduling.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and corporate information.
  • Greet patients in a friendly manner
  • Escort and prepare patients for examination/consultation.
  • Accurately document clinical interventions.
  • Participate in onboarding and mentoring of new staff and students
  • Perform inventory checks for consumables.
  • Uphold company values, mission and vision.
  • Engage in company initiatives and activities.
  • Participate in Health and Safety / Privacy Walkthroughs.
  • Adhere to ACESO Medical Policies and Procedures.
  • Complete other tasks as requested.

Qualifications:

A Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Medical Device Reprocessing Certification is an asset

Ability to lift and carrying up to 55 lbs unassisted

Current BLS/CPR Certification

Ability to walk & stand for prolonged period

Requirements:

Must be legally allowed to work in Canada.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ability to multitask and perform tasks without direct supervision.
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal skills.
Excellent organization and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Provide appropriate reporting and collaboration with the team.
Dedicated to learning and growing within the team setting
Ability to adapt to changes and critical situations as required

Job Details

  • Hours: 08:00-17:00, Overtime as needed
  • Days: Monday – Friday (Saturdays as needed)
  • Benefits: After 3 months
  • Clinic Location: Downtown

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
