Job Description

The Role:


As an RN in the ER Unit, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical emergency room setting. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and compassionate patient care.


Responsibilities:


  • Provide direct patient care by established policies, procedures, and standards of practice.


  • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.


  • Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assist with various medical procedures.


  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.


  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and documentation.


  • Respond promptly and efficiently to emergencies, ensuring the appropriate interventions are carried out.


  • Adhere to infection control and safety protocols at all times.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.


  • Current, unrestricted RN license in your current province.


  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in an emergency room setting (most recent experience).


  • ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS, and CTAS Certifications.


  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.


  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.#INDHP
