We are hiring a full-time Health Care Aide/Peri Operative Aide. Your primary role will be to assist in the Operating Room and help in the medical device reprocessing department. The individual will elevate the client experience by upholding our standards of insuring efficient and exceptional service and supporting team members.

As the Health Care Aide, you will be highly organized, have excellent phone etiquette, professional in demeanor, and are a self-starter. You will be working as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You must be reliable, detail-oriented, a team player, great communicator and eager to learn.

JOB DESCRIPTION OVERVIEW

  • Assisting the team in preparing the Operating Room
  • Provide coverage in reception area when needed.
  • Participate in education events and training opportunities for development.
  • Administrative tasks, as required.
  • Assist in the MDR Department - training will be provided.
  • Assisting with ordering and maintaining inventory

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated proficiency in written/oral communication (writing, planning, editing, formatting) in the English language
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required.
  • MDR experience is an asset
  • Experience working in an operating room is an asset.
  • Exceptional ability to manage time efficiently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to organize and prioritize assigned workload.
  • Demonstrate the ability the respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
  • Fluent in scheduling software. Basic understanding of Word and Excel would be an asset.
  • Ability to organize workload and set priorities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to engage with all clients.
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment/trays weighting up to 40lbs.
