Nursing Assistant Job Description

Job Overview
Men’s Health Clinic Manitoba is seeking a motivated and professional candidate to join our fast-growing team. We are a premier hybrid public/private clinic and accredited private surgical facility with a team of surgeons, physicians, clinical assistants, PAs, nurses, and medical trainees.

Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Manager or Nurse in Charge, the successful candidate will:

  • Perform clerical and administrative tasks.
  • Support patient care and comfort with non-clinical tasks.
  • Assist with basic cleaning and organization to maintain clinic safety.

Experience & Education

  • High school diploma (Manitoba standards) required.
  • Completion of a Nursing Assistant program or equivalent (Health Care Aide + Unit Clerk) required.
  • Medical terminology (75% minimum) required.
  • Related work experience preferred.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Training in PHIA, WHMIS, and Routine Practices provided during probation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic IT equipment.
  • Strong English communication (oral & written).
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented, professional, and adaptable.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, transfer, and transport patients/equipment.
  • Work effectively in a busy environment with frequent interruptions.
  • Must provide current Criminal Records Check (with Vulnerable Sector), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
