About us

Lewis Estates Dental Centre provides dental care and support to many families in Edmonton. We are an inclusive and cohesive team that understands that our success in caring for our patients, and supporting our team members, is what drives us professionally and supports us personally.

Lewis Estates Dental is looking for a full-time, self-motivated, hard-working, and enthusiastic sterilization technician to assist our busy practice. The right candidate would start immediately and preferably have experience in clinical sterilization and knowledge of and experience in the use of autoclave machines as well as their routine maintenance. Certification in Medical Instrument Reprocessing is REQUIRED. This is a fast-paced position, and requires strong organizational skills, the ability to multitask and take direction from the team on a daily basis.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Sterilizing dental instruments

- Room turnover between patients

- Weekly, Bi-weekly, and monthly sterilizer maintenance

- Clinic maintenance ie cleaning floors, washrooms etc

- Closing down the clinic and sterilization at the end of the workday

Hours for this position are:

  • Monday: 830-430
  • Tuesday: 800-400
  • Wednesday: 830-430
  • Thursday: 1030-630
  • Friday: 730-300

One Saturday per month with hours of 830-330 is also required.

Wage for this position starts at $21/hr. but is negotiable dependent on experience. The successful candidate will also be eligible for benefits after successful completion of probation.
