Duke Eye Care in Okotoks is looking for an enthusiastic, organized, personable candidate to join our dynamic team.

Job Description

This is a full-time role ideal for someone who is comfortable with technology, who learns quickly, and who provides excellent patient care. As an Optometric Assistant/Patient Care Coordinator, you will have the following responsibilities:

- Welcoming patients and creating a warm first impression;

- Booking, confirming, and managing appointments;

- Processing payments and determining insurance coverage;

- Performing pre-testing and preliminary diagnostic testing; and

- Assisting with patient flow and clinic operations.

The Ideal Candidate

Our ideal candidate is:

- Welcoming and genuinely enjoys helping people;

- An excellent communicator;

- Patient and kind;

- Computer-savvy;

- Comfortable learning new technology;

- Interested in healthcare, specifically vision care; and

- Able to multitask in a dynamic work environment.

Previous optometric experience is an asset, but not a requirement.
