Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and maintaining efficient office procedures. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly as they arrive at the office and assist with check-in procedures.
  • Schedule and confirm appointments using Dentrix and electronic medical records systems.
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to handle incoming calls, answer inquiries, and provide information about services.
  • Maintain patient records with accuracy, ensuring all medical terminology is correctly documented.
  • Process patient payments and insurance claims efficiently while adhering to office policies.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Collaborate with dental staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication within the practice.
  • Uphold confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient information.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a Dental Receptionist or in a similar role within a dental or medical office is required.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix software and electronic medical records is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to dental practices is beneficial.
  • Experience handling front desk operations, including managing appointments and multi-line phone systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a busy environment.
