Job Overview:

We are seeking a high energy, friendly, organized and detail-oriented Dental Administrator to join our small family business. As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk. If you have excellent communication skills, a friendly welcoming demeanor, and experience working in a dental office, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and welcoming attitude

- Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar

- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner

- Verify insurance coverage and collect patient information.

- Prepare preauthorizations and present Treatment Plans to patients.

- Maintain electronic dental records

- Assist with billing and financial transactions

- Coordinate referrals to specialists as needed

- Ensure the waiting area and patient rooms are clean and comfortable for patients

- Tidy and seat the patients in treatment rooms

- Perform general administrative tasks to support the dental office

Requirements:

- Minimum two years experience working in a dental office setting

- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures

- Familiarity with completing dental claim forms

- Proficiency in using electronic dental software

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

- Knowledge of phone systems and ability to handle multiple phone lines

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)

- High school diploma or equivalent
