Attention to detail is an essential requirement of this position, and following the application instructions is the first opportunity to demonstrate it.

Here you are. Another day on the job hunt. But you’re looking for more than just a paycheque aren’t you?

You’re looking for your calling and a way to make a difference. For something that when you clock out for the day you can’t help but feel good about the time you just put in and the lives you impacted. You want to hear laughter in the halls because your colleagues have perfected the art of getting the job done while having a good time. And you want people to leave your presence thinking “I am so grateful for them!”

Oh, and in an ideal world you get all this without being confined by a cubicle and 40 hour work weeks. So let us introduce ourselves.

About Us

We are What’s Good - Wellness by Design, a patient-centred integrative wellness clinic in Oakville dedicated to helping our community achieve better health and wellness. Much of our work focuses on chronic pain and complex conditions: the kinds of things that can leave people frustrated, without answers, and unsure where to turn next.

We also believe meaningful work shouldn’t require sacrificing your life outside of it. We’ve built a fun, rewarding workplace that values fair wages, work-to-live hours and a team of people who genuinely enjoy caring for others and working together.

You’re probably thinking, “This sounds too good to be true.” We promise, it isn’t. We may just be the exception to the “all that glitters isn’t gold” rule, provided you’re the kind of warm, genuinely likeable person who makes people feel comfortable from the moment they meet you and isn’t afraid to jump in when something needs to be done.

Our Mission

At What’s Good, our mission is simple: to look deeper, ask better questions and help people get back to doing the things that make life good.

We believe good healthcare combines clinical excellence with genuine human connection; people should feel heard, respected and confident that those caring for them are paying attention.

What We Believe

1. Care deeply.
People are never just appointments on a schedule. We want every person who walks through our doors to feel seen, welcomed and cared for. Warmth, humour, kindness and a little personality matter. We take our work seriously without taking ourselves too seriously.

2. Pursue excellence.
Good enough isn’t our standard. We stay curious, keep learning, pay attention to the details and continually look for ways to make our care and our clinic better.

3. Take ownership.
“That’s not my job” isn’t how we operate. If something needs attention, we notice it, communicate it and help solve it. We take responsibility for the experience we create together.

4. Look deeper.
We don’t automatically accept “everything looks normal” when someone knows something isn’t right. We ask better questions, look for patterns and try to understand the whole picture before deciding what comes next.

5. Do the right thing.
We recommend what we genuinely believe is appropriate, communicate honestly and treat our patients, our colleagues and our community with integrity.

The Ideal Candidate

You thrive in a busy environment where priorities can shift quickly and have been known to “never let ’em see you sweat.” Even when there’s a lot going on behind the scenes, you never make people feel rushed, overlooked, or like they’re just another task on your list.

You’re a bright light of optimism, a steady presence when someone is having a hard day, and the kind of person who genuinely gets satisfaction from helping people. You understand that the little things matter, especially when someone is struggling with their health.

What You’ll Do

  • Welcome patients and make sure they feel comfortable, cared for and well looked after from the moment they walk through the door.
  • Manage appointments, phone calls, emails and new patient onboarding.
  • Keep patient records accurate and up to date, and prepare reports as needed.
  • Process payments, coordinate payment plans, and assist with bookkeeping and insurance reviews.
  • Keep the day-to-day clinic running smoothly by supporting scheduling, administration and community outreach.
  • Assist our practitioners and clinical team with patient care.
  • Pitch in where needed. We’re a small team, and “that’s not my job” isn’t really our thing.

What We’re Looking For

  • You’re warm, friendly and professional, and you communicate well with all kinds of people.
  • You’re exceptionally organized and pay attention to the details.
  • You’re a quick learner and natural problem-solver who doesn’t need to be told what to do every five minutes.
  • You can juggle multiple priorities, work independently and know when to ask for help.
  • You’re comfortable with technology and have basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Apple Pages/Numbers.
  • You’re curious and eager to learn, and you genuinely want to grow in your role.
  • Most importantly, you genuinely like people and care about making their experience with us a good one.

More About Us

We have a weekday schedule with the occasional weekend event as community engagement is a cornerstone of what we do.

We’re off major holidays and offer employee health benefits after six months of employment, along with two weeks paid vacation after one year of employment.

We offer a competitive wage, commensurate with experience, and infinite room to grow as we ourselves face exponential growth. Translation: this could be a promising career for the right candidate.

No medical or health background? No problem! We hire uncut gems - authentic, resourceful, outgoing personalities and then train you to do the rest.

Here’s a hint - if you fail to submit your application to the address above, you won’t be considered. Essentially, the ability to follow basic instructions is a pretty important requirement of the job.

Think you’re an Uncut Gem?

Don’t worry if you don’t meet every qualification. We value personality, authenticity, initiative, and a willingness to learn! If you’re inspired by the possibilities, and would like to join us in our mission to change as many lives as possible and help people live lives free from pain and suffering, send your resume AND cover letter telling us why you’re the perfect candidate with the subject “Uncut Gem” to whatsgoodhiring @ gmail.com.
