Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will serve as the backbone of our medical practice, ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient care. Your energetic approach and commitment to excellence will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support healthcare providers in delivering high-quality services. The MOA plays a crucial role in managing administrative tasks, coordinating patient flow, and assisting with clinical duties to uphold the highest standards of healthcare delivery.

Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in procedures, ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departure
  • Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and update electronic health records accurately and efficiently
  • Prepare examination rooms, ensure cleanliness, and organize medical supplies for smooth clinical operations
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient care activities, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting clinical notes
  • Administer medications or injections under supervision, following strict safety protocols and medical guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding medication instructions, follow-up appointments, and health education
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, confidentiality standards, and infection control procedures

Requirements

  • Proven experience working in a hospital or clinical setting as a Medical Office Assistant or similar role
  • Strong knowledge of patient care procedures and medical terminology to facilitate accurate communication and documentation
  • Ability to handle medication administration responsibly while adhering to safety protocols
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate attitude with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care and support
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and scheduling software
  • Certification or training in medical assisting or related fields is preferred but not mandatory
