Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Medical Reception/Admin to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced medical office environment. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, proficiency in medical terminology, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
  • Manage phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and direct calls appropriately.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
  • Collect and verify patient information, including insurance details and medical history.
  • Coordinate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient flow throughout the office.
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Assist in billing processes by collecting payments and processing claims when necessary.

Skills

  • Strong administrative skills with experience in a medical office environment
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
  • Proficient in using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems; experience with Oscar Pro and Patient Vu a definite plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
  • Ability to operate phone systems efficiently while managing multiple calls simultaneously.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records and ensure smooth office operations.
  • A proactive team approach to problem-solving and the ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.
