Just west of Winnipeg, O Foods has built the most advanced oat mill in North America to meet growing global demand. As a wholly owned subsidiary of Paterson Global Foods, we have strong roots in Canadian agriculture and believe in delivering value to the entire food supply chain.

We are seeking an individual for our open Logistics Coordinator position. Primary duties include preparing shipping documentation, overseeing shipping, responding to complaints or questions from carriers, and providing shipping instructions and information.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations.
    • Booking trucks and rail cars to deliver loads to customers for requested delivery date.
    • Send Booking Confirmation, Send Delivery Confirmation, Send Customs Documentation.
    • Reviewing and preparing paperwork to ship orders.
  • Plan and track the shipment of products according to customer requirements.
  • Keep logs and records of on time delivery, executed orders, rejected trailers, etc.
  • Maintain records to support a customer scorecard.
  • Works closely with Customer Service and Warehouse team.
  • Addressing and resolving shipment and inventory issues.
  • Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity.
  • Prepare accurate reports for upper management.
  • Discuss and negotiate rates with new or existing carriers.
  • Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.
  • Assist with export and import documentation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school diploma or equivalency; post-secondary degree is an asset.
  • Previous work in a logistics role is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to achieve goals and self-improvement.
  • Comfortable with multi levels of software.
  • Knowledge of MS Dynamic GP is an asset.
  • Ability to create and maintain complex spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards using Excel.
  • Strong Organizational and Multitasking Skills.
  • Relationship Management, Communication, and Customer Service Skills.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving.

Hours

  • Full-time position, 40 hours weekly.
  • Monday to Friday, day shift, 8-hour shifts.
