Inside Sales Representative — Keirton Inc.

Reports to: Chris Lowe, VP Sales

Are you new to the workforce and want a career that AI will never replace? People buy from people and not robots which will likely never change! If you're willing to put yourself out there and challenge yourself to be uncomfortable and grow, this is probably your best opportunity.

The short version

We build the equipment cannabis producers use to run their operations — trimmers, sorters, automation that turns manual processing into industrial throughput. Our gear is in licensed facilities across North America, and the market is growing.
We're hiring an Inside Sales Rep to run the velocity end of our pipeline. Every deal under $20K, inbound and outbound, end to end. Quote it, configure it, follow up, close it.
This role is for hunters. Leads will land in your queue and you'll work them. The difference between a great year and a quiet one is what you generate from cold outreach into our reseller network and target accounts. If you wait for leads to come to you, you'll miss your number. We're saying that twice because we mean it.

What you'll own

  • Inbound quote requests, configurations, and lead-time questions on the smaller-product mix (anything that isn't a large system)
  • Outbound prospecting — building pipeline from zero
  • Quote-to-close on every deal under $20K CAD
  • Salesforce hygiene and pipeline reporting on the opportunities you own
  • Day-to-day relationships with our reseller network

What you won't own

  • Large-system deals or accounts above $20K (that's field sales)
  • Parts quoting (Customer Success owns it)
  • Setting commercial sales strategy or systematizing the broader sales motion (out of scope for this seat)

What you actually need to bring

  • A great personality and drive to learn. If rejection makes you try harder, keep reading.
  • Daily AI tool fluency — ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot — and you can show your prompts
  • Show us you can stay organized.
  • Comfort selling into the cannabis industry. This is our customer base. If you have hesitations about cannabis as a market, this seat will frustrate both of us — we'd rather you know up front

What we'll teach you

  • The cannabis processing market and our competitive position in it
  • The technical side of our equipment line — every trimmer, sorter, accessory
  • Trade-show selling (you'll travel to up to 4 per year)
  • How to use our CRM and our specific computer tools.
  • How to talk to our industry and the things we value.

Compensation

  • Base: $50,000–$60,000 CAD
  • Commission tied to inside sales revenue, paid monthly
  • Year-one OTE: $80,000–$85,000 CAD
  • Top performers clear well into six figures by year three — we'll show you the math when you reach final round
  • Annual base review; commission rate revisited at each anniversary

Benefits — Desjardins group plan, day one of eligibility

  • Extended health: 100% eligible medical, 80% prescription drugs (mandatory generic, no annual max), 100% semi-private hospital
  • Vision: 100% — $200 glasses/lenses every 24 months, $75 eye exam every 24 months
  • Paramedical: $1,000 per year combined — massage, physio, chiropractor, psychologist/social worker, naturopath, acupuncturist, and more
  • Dental: 80% basic, $2,000 annual max, 6-month recall

Time off

  • Vacation: 10 days/year up to 2 years of service, 15 days/year between 2–5 years, 20 days/year after 5 years (eligible after 3-month probation)
  • Statutory holidays: 12 paid (BC schedule)
  • Time off in lieu for salaried weekend work (e.g., trade shows)

Working environment

Surrey, BC office is preferred. We're not pretending hybrid is the same as in-person — coming in matters for the technical learning curve and the team. Remote applicants are welcome and need to come with specific accountability controls (weekly written self-report, daily Salesforce activity logging at minimum).
Trade show travel up to 4 times per year (US and Canada). Occasional evening or weekend coverage to support customers across North American time zones.

Our hiring process

  • Apply with resume and a 60–90 second Loom video to careers@keirton.com where you cold-pitch a fictional cannabis producer. We want to see you sell, not read about it. Don't worry about not knowing the industry, we just want to hear your tone and see your personality.
  • 10-question pre-screen if your resume and Loom video clears (48-hour turnaround)
  • 45-minute first-round interview with our VP Sales (Chris Lowe)
  • 90-minute second round: role-plays, technical learning test, AI fluency demo, behavioral deep-dive
  • References (3, including one direct manager)
  • Offer
Target hire date: June 30, 2026.

To apply

Submit your resume and the loom pitch video:
Real answers only. We can spot AI-generated cover letters, and they don't move forward.

Equity, diversity, and inclusion

Keirton hires on demonstrated competence and fit. We welcome applicants regardless of race, ancestry, place of origin, colour, ethnic origin, citizenship, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status, family status, or disability. Tell us if you need an accommodation at any stage of our process.
Apply by emailing your resume and answers to careers@keirton.com.
