About Whole Health Pharmacy

Whole Health Pharmacy is a rapidly growing community and specialty pharmacy organization dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care through innovation, operational excellence, and integrated healthcare services. As part of the Intrepid Health network, we partner with physicians, specialists, nurses, and allied health professionals to provide comprehensive pharmacy services across Ontario.

As we continue to expand, we are seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy Operations to provide strategic leadership and oversee the operational performance of our growing pharmacy network.

Position Summary

The Director of Pharmacy Operations will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations, growth, and performance of multiple pharmacy locations across Ontario. This individual will drive operational excellence, regulatory compliance, financial performance, and team development while supporting new pharmacy openings and service expansion.

This is an ideal opportunity for a proven pharmacy operations leader with experience managing multi-site retail pharmacies and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesOperations Leadership

  • Oversee the operational performance of multiple pharmacy locations.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, patient care, and profitability.
  • Standardize pharmacy workflows, policies, and operating procedures across all locations.
  • Lead new pharmacy openings, acquisitions, and operational integration initiatives.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, mentor, and support Pharmacy Managers, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop leadership succession plans and coaching programs for pharmacy teams.

Financial & Business Performance

  • Manage pharmacy budgets, labour costs, inventory, and overall financial performance.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement action plans to improve results.
  • Identify opportunities to expand pharmacy services and increase revenue through professional services and specialty programs.

Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all Ontario College of Pharmacists (OCP) standards and applicable provincial legislation.
  • Maintain quality assurance, medication safety, and risk management programs.
  • Lead pharmacy accreditation and regulatory inspections.

Strategic Growth

  • Partner with executive leadership to execute strategic initiatives and organizational growth plans.
  • Support the expansion of specialty pharmacy, infusion services, and clinical programs.
  • Build strong relationships with healthcare providers, vendors, and industry partners.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of progressive pharmacy leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing multiple retail pharmacy locations.
  • Strong knowledge of retail pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, workflow optimization, and pharmacy business management.
  • Experience managing budgets, labour planning, inventory, and operational KPIs.
  • Proven leadership in recruiting, coaching, and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with specialty pharmacy, infusion services, or biologics is considered an asset.
  • Willingness to travel between pharmacy locations across Ontario as required.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary: $130,000 to 140,000 annually
  • Performance Bonus: Up to 10% annually

Location

Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario

The successful candidate must be based in the Greater Toronto Area and be willing to travel up to two hours from the GTA to support clinics and sites.
