The Role At A Glance:
As the Senior Accounts Receivable Team Lead, you will take ownership of Dulcedo’s Accounts Receivable function and play a critical role in protecting the company’s cash flow and financial health.
This is a senior, hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the AR process end-to-end, from customer onboarding and billing through collections, cash application, reconciliations, escalation, and reporting. You will establish priorities, monitor performance, resolve complex issues, and ensure the AR function operates efficiently and consistently.
Working closely with Finance, Agents, Talent Management, Operations, and customers, you will act as a key point of escalation for outstanding payments and collection matters. You will also support the development of the AR team and continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, tools, and reporting.
The ideal candidate is an experienced AR professional who can take full ownership of the function, provide strong day-to-day leadership, and bring the level of expertise and autonomy required to significantly reduce the operational burden on Finance leadership.
Why This Role Matters:
- AR Ownership: Take ownership of the end-to-end Accounts Receivable cycle, ensuring processes are organized, efficient, and consistently executed.
- Collection: Lead collection activities and proactively follow up on outstanding balances to improve cash flow and reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
- Aging & Monitoring: Own AR aging processes, identify risks and trends, and ensure outstanding accounts are actively monitored and addressed.
- Posting & Controls: Oversee posting, cash applications, reconciliations, and related controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of AR records.
- Escalation Management: Establish and manage escalation processes for overdue accounts, disputes, payment delays, and complex collection matters.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key point of contact with Agents, Talent Management, Operations, and other internal teams when payment or billing issues impact clients, talents, or business operations.
- Team Leadership & Development: Prioritize the team's workload, provide day-to-day guidance, and support the development and autonomy of AR team members.
- KPI & Performance Monitoring: Establish and monitor relevant AR KPIs, including aging, DSO, collection performance, outstanding balances, and other indicators of financial health.
- Reporting & Visibility: Develop and maintain effective monitoring tools and reporting to provide Finance leadership with clear visibility into AR performance and collection risks.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline, automate, and strengthen AR workflows, systems, and internal controls, including NetSuite enhancements.
- Hands-On Expertise: Remain sufficiently involved in day-to-day AR operations to resolve complex matters, support the team, and ensure continuity when required.
What You're Bringing With You:
- 7+ years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, collections, credit, or financial operations;
- Significant experience managing the full accounts receivable cycle, including collections, aging, cash application, reconciliations, and dispute resolution;
- Previous experience leading, supervising, or mentoring an AR or finance team;
- Strong understanding of cash flow management and collection strategies;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and prioritize high-impact issues;
- People-oriented, with strong interpersonal and leadership skills and a genuine ability to build trust, support team development, and foster collaboration;
- Analyze AR KPIs, including DSO and aging;
- Strong ERP experience; NetSuite experience is considered a strong asset;
- Excellent communication and escalation-management skills, particularly when dealing with customers and cross-functional stakeholders;
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment;
- Experience in a talent agency, entertainment, media, advertising, creative, or similar industry is an asset;
