Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional administrative support within a busy medical clinic, ensuring smooth daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, familiarity with electronic medical records, and experience in front desk procedures. Prior experience with medical office systems such as Healthquest EMR is highly desirable. The Medical Office Assistant will play a vital role in managing patient interactions, scheduling, and maintaining accurate records to support quality patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, creating a welcoming environment
  • Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and coordinate patient flow
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records using systems like Healthquest EMR with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Assist with billing procedures as needed
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and document management
  • Prepare patient charts and ensure all necessary documentation is complete prior to appointments
  • Support clinical staff by handling administrative duties that facilitate efficient patient care
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and office policies

Skills

  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Healthquest EMR
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to healthcare documentation
  • Experience as a medical clinic receptionist or in a medical clinic office setting preferred
  • Prior medical office experience is highly advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and data entry
