AR / Billing Analyst

About the Role

Frontier Networks is seeking a detail-oriented AR / Billing Analyst to join our Finance and Operations team. This role is responsible for managing billing inquiries, accounts receivable processes, payment reconciliation, and supporting month-end billing activities.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and responsiveness are critical.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Responsibilities (Ongoing)

  • Monitor and manage the Billing queue, responding to customer calls and inquiries
  • Review and respond to requests in the Billing email inbox, including disputes and billing questions
  • Provide timely responses to internal billing and account inquiries

Daily Responsibilities (Active Projects)

  • Manage and close customer cancellation tickets and follow up on completed requests
  • Process and close tickets in the Reseller Billing queue, including:
  • Service moves
  • Customer name changes
  • VOIP changes not processed through automation
  • Process bank deposits and daily account reconciliations
  • Apply customer payments, including cheques, EFTs, and wire transfers
  • Support internal projects such as:
  • Contract and pricing reviews
  • Auditing charges for customer credits or write-offs

Monthly Responsibilities

  • Reconcile customer accounts receivable balances
  • Prepare Monthly Payment Reports, including detailed reconciliation of:
  • EFT payments
  • Cheques
  • Credit card payments
  • Audit payment records and correct discrepancies to ensure monthly balance accuracy
  • Process manual customer credit card charges on scheduled billing dates (15th or End-of-Month)
  • Manage Accounts Receivable collections, including:
  • Payment reminder emails
  • Customer phone calls
  • Suspension notices when required
  • Upload and validate data for month-end billing cycles

Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in Accounts Receivable, Billing, or Accounting support
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
  • Experience with billing systems, payment reconciliation, and collections
  • Proficiency with Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Experience in telecommunications or technology billing is considered an asset
