Overview:

Join our team as an Optometric Assistant and play a crucial role in providing exceptional eye care services to our patients. We are seeking a dedicated individual with a passion for patient care and eye health to join our dynamic optometry practice.

Responsibilities:

- Assist optometrists in conducting eye examinations and vision tests
- Prepare patients for eye exams by gathering medical history and explaining procedures
- Perform diagnostic tests including auto-refractor, NCT and Optomap
- Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care
- Manage front desk duties such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance coverage, and handling patient inquiries
- Maintain electronic medical records accurately and efficiently
- Support optical sales by assisting patients in selecting frames and lenses
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the examination rooms and optical dispensary

Requirements:

- Experience in an optometry office
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to optometry
- Proficiency in electronic medical records systems, experience with Optosys is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Familiarity with optical sales and dispensing
