Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth daily operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about dental health and eager to grow within a professional environment. Prior experience with dental software such as Tracker, as well as knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics, is highly desirable. A background in dental assisting, familiarity with medical terminology, and skills in CAD are considered valuable assets for this position.

Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies for patient procedures
  • Assist dentists during various dental treatments, including orthodontics and pediatric dentistry
  • Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when applicable
  • Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures and answering questions
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Epic, Dentrix, or other dental management software
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control protocols in compliance with health standards
  • Manage patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist when needed
  • Provide post-treatment instructions and schedule follow-up appointments
  • Support administrative tasks such as inventory management and appointment scheduling

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental software such as Tracker is preferred
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Knowledge of infection control procedures and sterilization techniques
  • Certification or training in dental assisting is required or highly recommended
