Join our dynamic dental team as a Sterilization Assistant, where your role is vital in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients through meticulous sterilization processes. In this energetic position, you'll be responsible for preparing, cleaning, and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment to uphold the highest standards of hygiene and infection control. Duties
- Thoroughly clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical devices using approved methods and equipment
- Inspect instruments for damage or contamination, ensuring all items meet strict quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, inventory levels, and equipment maintenance logs
- Prepare sterilized instruments for storage or immediate use in surgical procedures
- Follow detailed protocols and safety guidelines related to infection control and medical terminology
- Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels
- Clean common areas including lunch room, bathroom, reception and lobby.
- Turning over provider operatories
Experience
- Training provided for motivated candidates
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and maintain high attention to detail under pressure
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals
