Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and pharmacy operations, as well as a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Retrieve faxed or electronic physician orders, prescriptions or requests for prescriptions refill
  • Enter prescriptions and refills into patient’s record.
  • Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards for medication administration.

Skills

  • previous work experience using Kroll is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy operations.
  • Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant 1 year is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and support.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate through a variety of computer systems quickly
