Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Experience with dental software such as ABEL and DOMTRAK, as well as knowledge of orthodontics and periodontics will be highly valued. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where professionalism and compassion are essential. No late evenings or weekends.

Duties

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety protocols
  • Assist dentists during various procedures, including orthodontic and periodontic treatments
  • Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
  • Manage patient records using dental software such as ABEL and DOMTRAK
  • Provide patient education on oral health, post-treatment care, and preventive practices
  • Handle administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient check-in/out processes as a dental receptionist
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sterile environment throughout the clinic
  • Assist with laboratory procedures related to dental appliances or orthodontic devices
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dental assisting, with familiarity using ABEL and DOMTRAK software preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry
  • Experience working with orthodontics and pediatrics is a plus
  • Strong understanding of dental procedures, sterilization techniques, and CAD technology for imaging or appliance fabrication
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Certification or licensure as a Dental Assistant mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates
  • Prior experience as a dental receptionist or in administrative roles within healthcare settings is advantageous
