Job Summary

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant/Receptionist, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring the smooth operation of our busy dental practice. Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage appointment scheduling using Dentrix dental practice management software
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, directing calls and providing excellent customer service
  • Verify patient information and update electronic medical records accurately within Epic and other systems
  • Assist dentists during procedures by preparing instruments, taking X-rays, and maintaining sterilization protocols
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including insurance verification and payment processing
  • Maintain a clean, organized front desk area and clinical workspace to promote safety and efficiency
  • Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and managing correspondence to support daily office operations

Skills

  • Proficiency with Dentrix dental software and Epic electronic medical records systems
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dental care
  • Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a medical/dental office setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication skills, especially with multi-line phone systems and front desk interactions
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Familiarity with dental assisting procedures, including taking X-rays and sterilization techniques, is a plus
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with experience managing office tasks such as appointment scheduling and record keeping
