Medical Office Assistant – Busy Walk-In Clinic

We are seeking a reliable, diligent, organized, and efficient Medical Office Assistant (MOA) to join our busy walk-in clinic team.

The successful candidate MUST have previous hands-on experience with Accuro EMR and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume walk-in clinic environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, accountable, and able to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining accuracy and excellent patient service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients with a pleasant, professional, and welcoming demeanor
  • Create a friendly and respectful environment where patients feel comfortable and well cared for
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out while maintaining efficient patient flow
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments as required
  • Answer and manage a busy multi-line telephone system and direct calls appropriately
  • Use Accuro EMR to accurately enter, update, and maintain patient information
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential patient records
  • Prepare and send patient referrals, requisitions, forms, and other medical documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Follow up on referrals, paperwork, test results, and other outstanding administrative tasks
  • Ensure referrals and assigned tasks are properly completed and followed through
  • Process payments and perform routine billing and administrative duties
  • Respond to patient inquiries professionally, respectfully, and courteously
  • Manage emails, correspondence, forms, and appointment reminders
  • Assist physicians and clinical staff with day-to-day administrative duties
  • Prepare and maintain examination rooms as required
  • Monitor office and medical supplies and communicate when supplies need to be reordered
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception and clinic environment
  • Maintain strict patient confidentiality and follow privacy requirements
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and complete tasks diligently, accurately, and within required timelines
  • Demonstrate accountability, reliability, and strong follow-through

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Medical Office Assistant
  • MUST have hands-on Accuro EMR experience
  • Previous experience in a busy walk-in clinic or high-volume medical office is strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures
  • Strong computer, EMR, data-entry, and administrative skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable handling a busy multi-line telephone system
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Diligent, dependable, punctual, and accountable
  • Ability to consistently complete assigned work in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
  • Pleasant, approachable, and professional demeanor

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for an MOA who takes pride in their work, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and follows through on assigned tasks without constant supervision.

The successful candidate will understand the importance of completing referrals, documentation, follow-ups, and other administrative duties accurately and on time. They will be organized, dependable, punctual, and able to manage competing priorities while maintaining a warm, welcoming, and respectful environment for patients.

A pleasant demeanor and strong interpersonal skills are essential. The ideal candidate will make patients feel comfortable and respected while maintaining professionalism and efficiency in a busy clinic.

Accuro EMR experience is mandatory. Candidates without Accuro EMR experience will not be considered.
