Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team! Duties

  • Greet patients warmly and assist with check-in/check-out procedures at the front desk
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments using electronic scheduling systems such as PS Suite
  • Manage phone systems to handle inquiries, appointment requests, and follow-ups efficiently
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs), ensuring all patient information is up-to-date and confidential
  • Verify insurance details and process billing or copayments accurately during patient visits
  • Support clinical staff by preparing exam rooms, sterilizing equipment, and handling administrative tasks related to patient care
  • Assist with administrative duties such as filing, faxing, copying documents, and managing office supplies

Skills

  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as PS Suite to document patient information accurately
  • Knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with healthcare providers and patients
  • Experience with medical office management software highly desirable but not mandatory
  • Previous medical office receptionist experience demonstrating excellent customer service skills
  • Ability to operate phone systems confidently while maintaining professionalism
  • Familiarity with medical office procedures including appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance verification
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing electronic records and administrative tasks
