Summary

Are you passionate about shaping healthcare decisions and improving patient access through strong evidence and strategy? As an Health Economics Manager, you will play a critical role in driving successful health technology assessment (HTA) submissions and ensuring timely access to innovative therapies across Canada.
In this role, you will lead the development and delivery of evidence strategies, collaborate across cross-functional teams, and translate complex technical information into impactful insights that influence decision-making and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead HTA submissions to national and provincial bodies (e.g., CDA and INESSS), ensuring high-quality and timely delivery
  • Manage cross-functional collaboration to integrate HEOR perspectives into access and product strategies
  • Develop clinical and economic evidence packages to support successful product listings
  • Translate technical and scientific data into clear, impactful communication for internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities within HTA files and propose mitigation strategies
  • Contribute to pricing and market access strategies through payer insights and analysis
  • Support development of negotiation strategies and product listing agreements in collaboration with Access and Policy teams
  • Ensure compliance with reporting of technical complaints, adverse events, and special situations

Essential Requirements

  • Strong experience with HTA processes, health economic modelling, and evidence generation
  • Solid understanding of Canadian HTA and reimbursement environment
  • Proven project management skills and ability to lead complex submissions
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and strategic problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience in pharmaceutical industry or healthcare sector
  • Exposure to pricing, payer research, or access strategy development

Expected Remuneration Range for role:

CAD 121,873 - 169,188

The base salary offered is determined based on gender-neutral objectives, such as relevant skills, competencies and experience in accordance with the Novartis pay setting policy and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically.
