Aesthetic Trainer / Educator – Toronto (Part-Time / Contract)

About Derma Institute

Derma Institute is an international medical aesthetics training academy, delivering high-quality, hands-on education in injectables including Botulinum Toxin, Dermal Fillers, Skin Boosters, and Advanced Aesthetic Treatments.

With training locations across the UK, Canada, and the United States, we specialise in small-group, practical training for licensed medical professionals, combining clinical excellence with a supportive learning environment.

The Role

We are currently expanding our Toronto faculty and are seeking an experienced and passionate Aesthetic Trainer / Educator to join our team.

This role involves delivering weekend-based training courses (once a month to start with ) to medical professionals, guiding them through both theoretical and practical components of aesthetic medicine.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver structured training in:
  • Botulinum Toxin (Botox)
  • Dermal Fillers (lips, cheeks, jawline, etc.)
  • Skin Boosters and polynucleotides
  • PRP
  • Microneedling and Chemical Peels
  • Teach core principles, including:
  • Facial anatomy
  • Consultation and patient assessment
  • Treatment planning and safety
  • Supervise delegates during hands-on practical sessions with live models
  • Ensure all treatments are carried out safely and in accordance with best clinical practice
  • Support and mentor delegates throughout the training day
  • Maintain accurate treatment documentation where required

Course Structure

Typical training days include:

  • Morning theory session (anatomy, consultation, safety)
  • Clinical safety briefing
  • Supervised hands-on practical session
  • Case discussions and treatment reviews

Requirements

  • Registered healthcare professional (e.g. RN, NP, MD, or equivalent)
  • Valid licence to practice in Ontario
  • Minimum 2+ years experience in aesthetic injectables
  • Strong experience with:
  • Botox
  • Dermal fillers
  • Previous teaching or training experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Professional liability / malpractice insurance
