Full job description

About Distinct Medical Aesthetics

Distinct Medical Aesthetics is an Oakville clinic providing personalized care across facial rejuvenation, laser treatments, facials, microneedling, and skin health. We listen first, explain options clearly, and plan care around each patient's features, goals, and comfort. Patient safety, honest guidance, natural-looking results, and long-term relationships shape the experience we aim to provide.

We are seeking an experienced Medical Aesthetician who shares that approach. You will bring sound hands-on judgment, careful attention to clinical records and safety protocols, and a genuine interest in helping patients understand realistic treatment and home-care options.

What you will do

  • Consult with patients about their skin concerns, goals, treatment history, and home-care routines; explain suitable options and set realistic expectations.
  • Perform aesthetic treatments within your training and the clinic's protocols, including HydraFacial, customized facials, chemical peels, microneedling, LED light therapy, and laser hair removal; training can be provided for services you have not yet performed.
  • Provide clear preparation and aftercare guidance, recommend appropriate skin-care products, and help patients plan follow-up care without pressure.
  • Document consultations, treatment details, consent, and progress accurately and promptly in Jane.
  • Maintain clean, stocked, treatment-ready rooms and follow infection prevention, equipment, and laser-safety procedures.
  • Support a smooth patient experience through rebooking, coordination with other providers, and occasional clinic or content tasks.

What you bring

  • At least three years of hands-on experience in medical aesthetics, including direct patient treatment in a clinic or medical spa.
  • A recognized medical aesthetician diploma or certification, plus relevant training for the treatments you perform.
  • Strong practical experience with skin assessment, patient education, and medical-grade skin care.
  • Sound judgment about contraindications, when to pause a treatment, and when to refer a question or concern to the appropriate clinician.
  • Warm, clear communication and the ability to build lasting patient relationships.
  • Reliable, detail-oriented work habits and comfort using electronic booking and clinical records.
  • Availability to work every Saturday, with flexibility for part-time weekday shifts.

Experience we would especially value

Experience with any of our services is an asset, including customized facials, chemical peels, HydraFacial, microneedling, LED light therapy, laser hair removal, radiofrequency microneedling (Morpheus8 preferred), ClearSilk, and vascular laser treatments. You do not need to have performed every service. Training, authorization, and any required clinical oversight will determine which treatments the successful candidate performs.

Position details

  • Location: 11 Bronte Road Unit 29, Oakville, Ontario.
  • Schedule: Flexible part-time hours, including every Saturday.
  • Pay: $25–$30 per hour, depending on the selected candidate's experience and qualifications.
  • Benefits: Staff discounts and paid time off.

Please apply through Indeed with your resume and a brief note describing your hands-on treatment experience, the devices or modalities you have used, and your availability.
