Full job description

Seeking a Dental Receptionist to join our team

We are a well-established family dental clinic in central Ottawa. We are looking for an individual who is motivated, passionate, and a team player. The position would be general reception duties, and dental treatment coordinator scheduling for busy dental office. Our office uses up to date technology with Dentrix as our office management computer system. The position is well supported with a strong team of front desk team members to assist in duties and assist in a quick transition. The ideal candidate would have clinical experience, ie. former Dental Assistant.

Job Responsibilities/Duties:
-Greeting and checking in patient upon arrival
-Scheduling/ reschedule/ cancelling appointments as needed
-Creating and preparing patient files
-Updating patient records and files as needed
-Preparing and sending insurance claims and documents
-Inputting/ organizing treatment recommendations
-Collecting payments and balancing office ledger
-Responding to and managing patient communication (phone, email, text)
-General office duties

Job Type: Full Time permanent

Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm
Friday: 7:30am- 3:00pm

Salary Range: $28.00-$35.00 an hour (based experience)

Applicant Requirements:
-Experience in a dental office with 1+ years experience as a dental receptionist
-Experience with computers

Applicant Assets:
-Background as a Dental Assistant
-Bilingual (French)
-Knowledge of Oryx office management software
