Full job description

This is a fixed contract for one month work for vacation relief.

Dates needed: August 17, 2026 - September 16, 2026

Looking for an experienced Medical Office Assistant needed for private specialist practice supporting one physician. If you are an extremely detail oriented office assistant who is efficient and quick to learn new programs, this also may be a great summer job for you.

  • 2+ years of Medical Office Assistant experience/ office administration experience
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with a professional attitude
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team – shows initiative
  • Experience utilizing and maintaining electronic medical records system
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating appointments and meetings
  • Experience coordinating labs, tests, consultations, etc.
  • Experience working with patients an asset
  • Highly organized and has great attention to detail
  • Knowledge of general office procedures and computer software tools: knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, scanning/faxing, and multi-line phone systems
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology
  • Excellent communication skills: experience providing clear, concise and accurate information – verbal and written
