Full job description

Medical Office Assistant Needed ASAP

We are looking for a dedicated and professional Medical Office Assistant to join our multidisciplinary team. You will manage both administrative duties and basic clinical support to help our medical staff provide exceptional patient care.

Clinical Duties Include

  • Preparation of examination rooms, escorting patients to rooms, and recording basic vital signs (e.g., blood pressure).
  • Calling out test results to patients.
  • Coordinating appointment scheduling to optimize provider availability and reduce wait times.
  • Performing vaccine clinics for all ages.
  • Notify patients of upcoming diagnostic imaging appointments.
  • Assist with clinical inventory of supplies and vaccines.
  • Emergency kit, AED, and oxygen tank monitoring.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work space.
  • Skills & Qualifications
  • Completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant diploma or certificate program is preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid Certified.
  • Certified injection training mandatory.
  • AED Training an asset.
  • Proficiency with electronic medical records systems such as Telus PSS.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and staff.
  • Experience in vaccine injecting and documentation mandatory.
  • Holter Monitor hook-up and ear flushing experience an asset.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy healthcare environment.
