Golden Care Dental Services is Ontario's largest provider of on-site oral health care services to the residents of long-term care and retirement homes, dedicated to delivering the highest quality care to our patients across the Greater Toronto Area. The objective of our administrative support team is to provide a seamless, stress-free experience to the family members of our patients and to maximize the quality of our patient and their loved ones’ experience throughout their patient life-cycle, fostering a long term quality relationship at every touchpoint.

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Dental Office Administrator to join our caring and dedicated team. As a Dental Office Administrator, you will support the achievement of our Clinic Operations Team’s core objective through the delivery of various tasks within the department. This individual plays a key role in ensuring that Golden Care’s patients, families, facilities and providers receive timely and accurate information at various stages of the patient life-cycle. While all members of our clinic operations team assist in various areas of our operation, the primary focus for this role will be handling incoming calls, addressing patient inquiries and facilitating consent generation through the treatment planning process.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Handle incoming phone calls, address patient and family needs directly
  • Coordinate with family members to review and finalize treatment consents as part of the treatment planning process
  • Assist other areas of clinic operations team as required.

Skills:

  • Effective Communication: Clear and professional communication skills to handle incoming calls and provide information to patients, families, facility staff and healthcare providers.
  • Customer Service: Ability to deliver excellent customer service over the phone, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues with empathy and professionalism.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively, handling multiple phone calls and administrative responsibilities efficiently.
  • Problem-Solving: Capability to resolve issues related to consents and patient inquiries promptly and effectively.
  • Proficient with Digital Technology

Experience:

  • REQUIRED: Minimum 2 years of dental administration experience, including strong proficiency with dental terminology, insurance, recalls, and handling incoming phone calls.
  • Phone-Based Customer Service: Previous experience in a dental office role requiring extensive phone communication.
  • Consent Management: Familiarity with obtaining and processing consents for dental treatment or procedures.
  • Administrative Support: Experience in healthcare administration or a related field, managing patient interactions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Data Entry: Proficiency in entering and updating patient information in electronic health records (EHR) or similar systems.
