Busy Family Practice Clinic – Squamish, BC

We are a high-volume, well-established clinic with 10 Family Physicians and 1 specialist, and we are actively hiring immediately for a Medical Office Assistant (MOA).

Position Details

  • Employment Type: Full-time
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday

Compensation

  • Hourly Wage: $21.00 – $24.00 per hour (based on experience)
  • Annual Salary Equivalent: approximately $40,950 – $48,750 per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient reception, check-in, and appointment scheduling
  • Answering phones and managing clinic communications
  • Processing referrals, requisitions, and documentation
  • Supporting physicians with EMR tasks (Intrahealth Profile)
  • Assisting with MSP, WCB, and ICBC billing processes
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential patient records
  • General administrative and clinic support duties

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum typing speed of 50 WPM
  • Experience with Intrahealth Profile (Plexia) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Familiarity with MSP, WCB, and ICBC billing preferred
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Excellent organization and multitasking abilities
  • High attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy standards
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong customer service skills
