Full job description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Telephone and email communication with customers, instructors and other organizations
  • Customer experience management - managing scheduled administrative tasks and logistics to make the student experience as smooth and enjoyable as possible
  • Office administration tasks, including: Supporting bookkeeper and accountant (knowledge of Quickbooks is a strong asset), supporting staff onboarding, managing course and staff schedules, document management & filing
  • Collaborate with other office team members and instructors on initiatives and projects as they arise (e.g. organizing course travel, assisting with instructor inquiries)
  • Update and maintain our website (previous experience with Wordpress or a similar website builder is an asset)

An ideal candidate:

  • Has strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Is comfortable providing customer service over the phone
  • Has experience with professional email communication
  • Is self-motivated and detail oriented; works well without close supervision
  • Is excited about supporting the growth and success of a small business
  • Is looking for a lively and casual work environment

Not required, but an asset:

  • Previous experience with Wordpress or a similar website builder
  • Previous experience using Quickbooks Online
  • Knowledge of the first aid industry in BC, keen interest and enthusiasm in first aid and outdoor activities

You will not just be following directions, but helping to develop the systems we need to continue delivering the high-quality training programs we have become known for in Vancouver and throughout British Columbia.
