About Us

We are a busy, well-established Internal Medicine Practice committed to providing high-quality, compassionate care. Our dedicated team works in a professional, fast-paced environment, and we are currently seeking an experienced Medical Office Administrator to join us on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition into a full-time role.

Clinic Hours

Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

*Working shift hours will vary within this time frame.*

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and check in patients
  • Utilize phone systems effectively, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette while communicating with patients; manage inquiries and appointment scheduling
  • Maintain accurate patient records using AVA EMR
  • Take Vitals
  • Verify health cards and insurance coverage
  • Process referrals, lab requisitions, and book appointments
  • Communicate professionally with physicians, patients, and external providers
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism
  • Perform general administrative tasks to support clinic operations

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office setting
  • Diploma or certificate in Medical Office Administration
  • Proficiency with AVA EMR is perferred required
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High standards of integrity, reliability, and punctuality
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable with electronic communication, Microsoft Office, etc.
  • Friendly, professional, and patient-focused demeanour
