POSITION DESCRIPTION – Marketing Production Executive

apetito is a global leader in the supply of nutritious, great-tasting meals for hospitals, care homes and Meals on Wheels across Canada, USA, Germany, the UK, France, and the Netherlands. We are also the parent company of Heart to Home Meals, Canada’s leading private home meal delivery service for seniors, with 19 franchise partners across Canada and excellent year over year sales growth. Through our expertise in developing delicious meals with a focus on nutrition and special dietary needs, we aim to make a real difference to the lives of seniors and vulnerable people in Canada.

The Marketing Production Executive Role will be working exclusively on our B2C business, Heart to Home Meals, reporting to the Heart to Home Meals Marketing Manager.

This role offers the right candidate a fantastic opportunity to contribute across a wide range of activities within a dynamic and ambitious marketing team. This position will be responsible for supporting & collaborating with the Marketing Manager in executing key elements of the marketing plan with particular focus & ownership of the HTHM brochure & literature program.

The successful candidate will liaise with key stakeholders inside and outside the business including management, franchisees, and end consumers. They will also work closely with vendors including creative suppliers, agencies, and printers.

The key areas of responsibility include:

  • Managing the brochure & literature program. The brochure is a key communication and selling tool for both prospects and current customers. It must clearly promote the benefits of the brand, the delicious food on offer and be simple and easy to use.
  • The Marketing Production Executive will take responsibility for managing this critical and complex project by working with various internal teams (including Marketing, Category Management and Product Development (PD)) and external suppliers to ensure everything is delivered 100% correct, on time and on budget.
  • Manage seasonal promotions by working with the Category Manager to develop inspiring customer and prospect offers. Working with key stakeholders to ensure everything is joined up and manage time-plan for launch/delivery.
  • Manage online asset management portal (Jostle) to ensure Franchise Partners have the relevant tools to use locally.
  • Manage HTHM photography requirements (both food photography and lifestyle photography) by working with appropriate photographers and stylists to maintain a consistent style that adheres to brand guidelines.
  • Lead agency relationships for all collateral production.
  • Ensure local marketing collateral works at Franchisee level and is fit for purpose.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Lead to execute the content calendar and coordinate with agencies to source and deliver creative assets.
  • Liaise with the Marketing Manager to ensure Tone of Voice & Brand Standards are consistently adhered to.
  • Liaise with the Marketing Manager and Digital Marketing Lead to ensure that all online and offline activity is joined up both in terms of timing but also look, feel and messaging.
  • Heart to Home Meals Website information - own the online & offline product & nutritional content. Work with PD, Regulatory and Category to ensure it is fit for purpose and take responsibility for pushing through required changes.
  • Take ownership for project plans and be proactive in identifying opportunities to refine and improve processes.
  • Work with and support the Marketing Manager on other strategy projects as they arise.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Minimum of two years’ relevant work experience and knowledge from having worked in a generalist marketing B2C environment.
  • Marketing Degree or equivalent.
  • Ability to demonstrate delivery of improvements to project processes
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight timeframes managing multiple projects.
  • Experience of managing projects with multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Advertising literate and media knowledgeable.
  • CPG commercial experience, ideally in food.
  • Brand planning projects on a significant brand.
  • Fully bilingual written and spoken (English & French) considered an asset.

Tools & Platforms

  • Canva (General understanding; ability to work within established brand templates)
  • Experience with email platforms such as Constant Contact, HubSpot, or similar
  • General understand of layouts, images, links, and copy within email templates
  • Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn (content formatting and visual optimization)
  • Understanding of image sizing and platform-specific best practices
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Power Point and Excel
  • Bitly or similar link-shortening tools, QR Code Generation
  • File organization using Google Drive, SharePoint, or similar systems
  • Experience working with internal communication platforms such as Jostle (or similar)
  • Comfortable collaborating via project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com)

Personal Qualities:

The production of materials that wow and resonate with our audiences is fundamental to the success of Heart to Home Meals so this is a key role within the HTHM Marketing Team with the opportunity for further progression. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with a can-do attitude. They will be proactive and positive in outlook and a real team player, with proven experience and success in a marketing role.

  • Excellent understanding of the English language (spelling, grammar, punctuation).
  • Relationship builder – there is a team of circa 8 within the marketing department but you will also have exposure to key stakeholders and senior management within HTHM and apetito HFS.
  • A complete finisher who will go the extra mile.
