GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to their assigned Lead Hand, the Finisher II and III may be assigned to a specific crew or work with different crews to assist in various construction tasks, learn from skilled tradespeople, and gain experience in multiple areas of the manufacturing process including but not limited to framing, interior and exterior finishing, mechanical, electrical, insulation and vapour barriers, drywallers, mud & tape, roofing, and siding, among others.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting skilled tradespeople in various aspects of the construction process.
- Loading and unloading materials and tools.
- Moving and securing materials in the shop.
- Measuring and marking materials.
- Framing walls, floors, trusses
- Install walls, floors, trusses & sheeting
- Install doors, flooring, baseboard, and trim.
- Insulation and vapour barriers installation.
- Drywall installation and performing finishing work.
- Siding and roofing installation, and exterior finishes.
- Performing basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical tasks as directed.
- Training junior finishers as assigned and provide constructive feedback.
- Deliver projects within timeline.
- Inspect damages.
- Repair or replace broken materials.
- Ensure all finishes follow the company quality standards.
- Use various materials, hand and power tools, and other equipment (e.g., scaffold, ladder).
- Following safety procedures and guidelines.
- Prepare and consistently maintain clean work area by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Keep you supervisor abreast of your progress and reporting any job-related issues.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices.
- Ensure quality standard performance.
- Back up Team Lead when directed.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
Experience:
- Minimum three to ten years relevant experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated professionalism and leadership

- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Familiarity with hand and power tools.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) regularly.
- Ability to stand, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods of time.
- Ability to work in cramped spaces, on ladders, and at heights.
- Ability to use hand and power tools for extended periods of time.
