Role Overview

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer with solid design experience who wants to take the next step toward owning projects.

You will be involved from early design through to production, working on real equipment and making practical engineering decisions along the way.

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Work on multiple projects from concept through to fabrication
  • Move between calculations, modeling, and discussions with production
  • Adjust designs based on real fabrication constraints
  • Work closely with production, quality, and purchasing
  • See the direct impact of your work on the final product

Key Responsibilities

  • Design pressure vessels, piping, and flexible systems
  • Perform or support ASME calculations (B31.3, B31.1, Section VIII)
  • Create 3D models and fabrication drawings in SolidWorks
  • Support FEA analysis when required
  • Contribute to costing based on manufacturing methods
  • Prepare Bills of Materials and support MITP development
  • Assist with CRN applications and compliance

Qualifications

  • Mechanical Engineering degree
  • EIT or P.Eng (or working toward it)
  • 3–8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD tools
  • Working knowledge of ASME codes or willingness to learn
  • Understanding of fabrication processes (welding, machining, forming)

Language

  • Strong English required
  • French is an asset, especially for working with production

Aperçu du rôle

Nous recherchons un(e) ingénieur(e) mécanique ayant une bonne base en conception et souhaitant évoluer vers plus d’autonomie dans la gestion de ses projets.

Vous serez impliqué(e) du début à la fin, de la conception jusqu’à la fabrication, sur des projets concrets ayant un impact réel.

À quoi ressemble le quotidien

  • Travailler sur plusieurs projets en parallèle, de la conception à la fabrication
  • Passer des calculs à la modélisation, puis aux échanges avec la production
  • Adapter les conceptions selon les contraintes réelles de fabrication
  • Collaborer avec les équipes production, qualité et achats
  • Voir directement l’impact de votre travail sur le produit final

Responsabilités

  • Concevoir des équipements sous pression, tuyauteries et systèmes flexibles
  • Effectuer ou supporter les calculs selon les codes ASME (B31.3, B31.1, Section VIII)
  • Modéliser en 3D et produire les dessins de fabrication (SolidWorks)
  • Participer aux analyses FEA au besoin
  • Contribuer à l’estimation des coûts selon les procédés de fabrication
  • Préparer les nomenclatures (BOM) et contribuer aux MITP
  • Participer aux démarches de conformité (CRN, etc.)

Profil recherché

  • Baccalauréat en génie mécanique
  • CPI ou membre de l’OIQ (ou en voie de l’obtenir)
  • 3 à 8 ans d’expérience pertinente
  • Expérience avec SolidWorks ou équivalent
  • Connaissance des codes ASME ou intérêt à les développer
  • Bonne compréhension des procédés de fabrication

Langues

  • Anglais requis
  • Le français est un atout
  • Une personne autonome qui veut évoluer vers un rôle senior
  • Un profil pratique, orienté solutions
  • Capable de transformer des concepts en solutions fabriquables
  • À l’aise de travailler en équipe et de façon indépendante
