PSL Mechanical is an Ottawa-based commercial mechanical contractor delivering HVAC, sheet metal, piping, and ventilation work on institutional and commercial construction projects. We run our jobs to a tight standard from estimate through turnover, and we're growing our project management team.
The Role
We're hiring an intermediate Project Manager to run commercial mechanical projects day to day, coordinating submittals, procurement, scheduling, billing, and field execution alongside our estimators, engineers, and site crews. This is a hands-on role that splits time between our Ottawa office and active job sites. It suits someone with 1 to 3 years of project management or coordination experience in mechanical, HVAC, or commercial construction who is ready to own projects and grow with the company.
What You'll Do
- Manage assigned mechanical construction projects from award through closeout
- Coordinate shop drawings and submittals with engineers and suppliers, tracking revisions and approvals
- Issue and manage purchase orders, change orders, and RFIs
- Prepare progress billings and track project costs against budget
- Build and maintain project schedules; coordinate field crews, subtrades, and deliveries
- Run site visits to confirm scope, progress, and field measurements
- Keep project documentation, status boards, and the financial file current and accurate
- Communicate clearly with general contractors, owners, engineers, and the internal team
What You Bring
- 1 to 3 years of experience in project management or coordination, ideally in mechanical, HVAC, or commercial construction
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Strong organization and follow-through across multiple concurrent projects
- Comfort with construction software and Microsoft Office
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Valid driver's licence and access to a vehicle for site visits
- Post-secondary education in construction, engineering, mechanical, or a related field is an asset

Pay: $78,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
