Job Overview

Total Rentals is looking for a motivated, energetic, person who likes to work in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate would have a mechanical aptitude through years of different service and repairs on varying types of equipment. It would benefit the candidate to have an understanding of how to operate and repair items such as Tractors, Skid-steers, Mini Excavators, Rollers, Scissor lifts, Boom lifts, Agricultural implements, and an assortment of other small to medium sized equipment, from varying manufacturers.

Responsibilities and duties

Day to day tasks to include such things as:

  • Regular and daily maintenance on equipment.
  • Servicing and oil changes.
  • Annual inspections, and reports on equipment.
  • Repair and diagnostics of mechanical equipment.
  • Repair and diagnostics of electrical systems and components.
  • Checking over a unit to ensure operational prior to rental.
  • Checking over units for damages upon rental returns.
  • Following check lists and completing paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Hooking and unhooking of equipment and attachments.
  • Light welding and fabricating.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies.

The ideal candidate would have experience in the equipment industry and would be able to:

  • Have and provide their own tools, (larger shop items provided by company)
  • Be punctual and timely as business needs and changes.
  • Experience with/or in and around agricultural equipment.
  • Experience with small and mid-size construction equipment.
  • Understand and follow written rules and procedures.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting/diagnostic abilities.
  • Have the ability to stay flexible with changing priorities.
  • Self-starting and driven personality.
