Full job description

Our client is a well-established company specializing in the diagnosis, removal, installation, repair, and remanufacturing of drivetrain components used in automotive and heavy truck applications. The company works with automatic and manual transmissions, differentials, axles, transfer cases, and hydraulic systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Remanufacture transmissions, torque converters, axles, transfer cases, and industrial gearboxes
  • Remove and reinstall drivetrain components
  • Complete failure analysis and reporting
  • Perform dyno testing
  • Perform electronic diagnostics
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Complete repairs within standard repair times
  • Follow established work procedures and quality standards

Qualifications

  • Registered Journeyman or Apprentice, or previous related mechanical experience
  • Experience with commercial vehicle inspections, transmission or differential rebuilding, electrical troubleshooting, or hydraulic systems is an asset
  • Ability to read and follow rebuild procedures and technical repair manuals
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
