Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba

Position: Project Assistant
Location: Winnipeg, Manitoba
Responsibilities: The responsibilities of this position include but not are limited to the following:
- Assist the Marketing department in the preparation of fee proposals, maintaining marketing directories and material preparation.
- Prepare proposals, organize personnel CVs, previous project profiles and technical narratives.
- Assist with Project accounting including processing of progress payments and reviewing contracted commitments.
- Assist with and coordinate shop drawing reviews utilizing MCW internal processes
- Assist with progress claims and contract documents required for execution of engineering projects as the Prime Consultant.
- Process correspondence in the form of memos, specifications, letters, reports, etc.
- Perform backup functions for other administrative staff during vacation or other absences to ensure that administrative support is provided on an ongoing basis.
- Develop clear and persuasive proposal content (written and visual) that is technically correct and clearly conveys the proposal strategy.
- Assist the subject matter experts with material development by assisting in gathering and sorting information, determining the most logical flow of material and editing and formatting the final document.
- Ensure adherence to RFQ/RFP requirements, requests for information as well as unsolicited and informal proposals.
- Research and review new project opportunities using relevant websites and literature
- Overtime as required and authorized by your manager
- Management of shop drawings database and transmittal
- 3-5 years of office experience. At least three (3) years of related experience in a related role such as an office administrator, office manager, project coordinator, or executive assistant as required.
- Post-secondary education as a Generalist in Business Administration certificate program or Office Administration Program or related discipline is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to quickly develop positive business relationships with management, coworkers, and external contacts.
- Must possess strong technical skills with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, data bases, and Outlook at an intermediate level.
- Experience with MS Office project or another document management/repository would be an asset.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality relating to activities involving duties of this position.
- Displays flexibility in order to respond to various administrative requests.
- Ability to adhere to task-related procedures and standards and demonstrate flexibility in handling heavy workload.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- A professional, enthusiastic attitude with a can-do attitude is a must!
