Job Overview

Are you a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We're seeking an energetic Shift Leader at McDonald's located in Owen Sound, Ontario, to oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure a smooth, efficient, and welcoming guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate People, Equipment, and Product to deliver outstanding Quality, Service, and Cleanliness and drive sales
  • Lead and energize your team by setting and rewarding shift targets
  • Complete pre-shift checklists and monitor guest flow, making adjustments as needed
  • Handle guest concerns through the guest recovery process, escalating serious issues to the GM
  • Ensure food safety, security, and cleanliness standards are met at all times
  • Support Department/General Managers through regular communication and coaching
  • Coach and develop crew with on-floor feedback
  • Ensure proper staffing, labour law compliance, and uniform/appearance standards
  • Execute sales and marketing promotions effectively

Qualifications

  • McDonald's experience preferred; any QSR/restaurant experience relevant
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with a passion for guest experience
  • Note: this is a 100% on-floor, hands-on working position
  • Must complete (or be working toward) required leadership, food safety, and first aid certifications through McDonald's training program

Pay: $20.05 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Owen Sound, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
