Full-Time Overnight Crew

Shift: Overnight hours, typically starting at 10:00 PM

Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour

Carpenter Enterprises (B.C.) Inc. is an independently owned and operated franchise of McDonald’s Restaurants serving communities across Vancouver Island. We are currently seeking motivated and reliable Crew Members to join our overnight team.

This full-time overnight role is ideal for someone who works well independently, stays focused in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly through the late-night and overnight hours.

A Day in the Life

A typical shift in this role starts at 10:00 PM and focuses on managing the restaurant’s late-night operations. Overnight crew members may be assigned to either service or kitchen, depending on operational needs. In service, the role includes supporting dining room service until midnight, then shifting focus to Drive-Thru and McDelivery orders overnight. In kitchen, the focus is on preparing orders efficiently and supporting overall overnight operations. Along the way, crew members restock product, maintain service flow, and clean and organize their work areas, including the dining room and service area, to ensure the restaurant is ready for the next day.

Your day may include:

• Supporting overnight operations in either service or kitchen, based on restaurant needs
• Supporting dining room service until midnight
• Preparing and serving Drive-Thru and McDelivery orders overnight
• Taking guest orders and processing payments accurately
• Restocking product and supplies to support overnight and morning operations
• Cleaning and organizing the service area, including the dining room
• Working together with the overnight team in a fast-paced environment
• Following food safety, workplace safety, and company procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and stay focused during overnight hours
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to manage overnight responsibilities
• Comfort working in a fast-paced guest service environment
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and support multiple areas of the restaurant
• No prior experience required; experience in food service or customer service is an asset

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Full-time overnight schedule with shifts typically starting at 10:00 PM, 7 to 8 hours per night, 5 days a week
• Prolonged standing and walking
• Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and movement between service areas
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Exposure to kitchen equipment, cleaning chemicals, and fast-paced service conditions
• Dynamic overnight environment with a strong focus on service, restocking, and cleanliness
