Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Finance Manager to lead our financial operations and support the growth of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in First Nation's financial management. This role requires a proactive approach to managing financial planning, analysis, and reporting, ensuring the company's financial health aligns with its strategic objectives. The Finance Manager will collaborate across departments to optimize financial performance and deliver exceptional customer service through effective financial solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support the First Nation.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies that enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain and enforce adherence to the First Nation Financial Administrative Law and related policies.
  • Provide detailed financial reports and insights to executive leadership for informed decision-making.
  • Manage and supervise the Finance department staff both directly and indirectly through the Senior Finance Officer.

Experience

  • Proven experience in financial services, with a focus on First Nations governance.
  • Strong mathematical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets effectively.
  • Prior experience managing finance teams or departments is required.
  • Knowledge of the First Nations Financial Management Board regulations and compliance standards is an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders, funding agencies and internal teams alike.

Pay: $85,000.00-$105,000.00 per year
