Duties

• Provide therapeutic massage treatments tailored to each client’s individual needs, focusing on relaxation, pain relief, and mobility improvement
• Assess clients’ conditions by understanding their health history and current concerns, utilizing your knowledge of medical terminology to inform treatment plans
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment in compliance with health regulations and industry standards
• Communicate clearly with clients about treatment procedures, expected outcomes, and aftercare instructions to ensure a positive experience
• Document treatment details accurately in client records to track progress and support ongoing care
• Promote wellness programs and recommend self-care practices to encourage long-term health benefits
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive client care

Requirements

• Valid registration as a Massage Therapist with the appropriate licensing or certification body in your region
• Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and client health conditions
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients in a professional manner
• Effective communication skills to explain treatment plans clearly and listen attentively to client feedback
• Prior experience in delivering various massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage or others is preferred but not mandatory; ongoing training is supported
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards within healthcare settings
• A proactive attitude towards learning new skills and staying current with industry best practices
